Why we have guidelines
PNWIRE exists to help businesses build credibility. These guidelines protect readers, our media partners and every client whose news sits alongside yours. They apply to press releases, startup features, pitch decks, images, video, sponsored content and anything else submitted to PNWIRE.
Content responsibility
You are solely responsible for all content you submit, upload or share through PNWIRE, including text, press releases, images, photographs, video, audio, logos, graphics, links, data, quotes and claims. The Digital Academy Ltd does not create, endorse or verify the content you provide and is not responsible for it, for any loss arising from it, or for any claim that it is inaccurate, misleading, defamatory or infringes anyone’s rights.
Our editorial review checks content against these guidelines; it is not a fact-check of every statement and it does not transfer responsibility to us. See our Terms and Conditions.
What we publish
- Genuine news: launches, funding, partnerships, appointments, research, milestones and events.
- A clear headline that reflects the story, with the key facts in the first paragraph.
- Accurate names, dates, figures and quotes, attributed to real, named people who agreed to be quoted.
- Contact details for media enquiries.
- Evidence on request for any claim such as “#1”, “leading”, “first”, environmental claims, statistics or awards.
What we don’t accept
- False, misleading or unverifiable claims, including fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements.
- Defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit or illegal content.
- Content that infringes copyright, trade marks, privacy or confidentiality.
- Unauthorised financial promotions, investment “tips”, or content that could amount to market manipulation.
- Get-rich-quick schemes, gambling or crypto promotions that break UK rules, and unlicensed medical or health claims.
- Personal attacks on competitors or individuals, and political advertising.
- Content written mainly to manipulate search rankings (keyword stuffing, link schemes).
Images, video and other media
You must own or hold a licence for every image, video, logo and piece of audio you submit, and have consent from identifiable people who appear in it. Credit photographers where required.
Do not submit images or video that are misleading, edited to deceive, or AI-generated to look real without clear disclosure. Files must be suitable for publication and free of watermarks you do not own.
AI-generated content
Press releases written by our team are 100% human-written. If you submit content created or altered with AI tools, you remain fully responsible for its accuracy and rights, and you must disclose AI-generated images, video or synthetic voices where they could mislead.
Sponsored and creator content
Sponsored placements are always labelled as sponsored. Micro-influencer content must be clearly disclosed as paid partnership or advertising (for example “#ad”), in line with the CAP Code and CMA guidance.
Review and decisions
We aim to review submissions promptly. We may request edits or evidence, suggest a different service, delay distribution, or decline content that does not meet these guidelines. We may remove published content from our own channels if we later find it breaches them.
If you think we have made a wrong decision, email info@premiumnewswire.com with the subject “Editorial review”.
